The worst place to work. Food is gross
So good! Growing up in this town I can't believe I finally discovered this place! The special when we went today was pumpkin muffin French toast- so good!! Amazing little place in the heart of Anoka. Will definitely be coming back. A lovely little breakfast joint :)
For $11 you can get a 2/3 pound burger with all the fixings and fries! That's a deal anywhere!
Seriously if you haven't tried the cinnamon bun pancakes your missing out! They are the best pancakes I've ever had in my life. Servers are bubbly and very fast. This is my new favorite place in Anoka!
Great food. Excellent service.
I love coming to G's for breakfast. Great food, but even better servers! Today I had the "Special" -Triple berry pancake with 2 eggs and two sausages... $8.99. Try them out for a breakfast or lunch, you won't be sorry!
Good food fast friendly service
Food is wonderful! Great service too!
It is so good. Just go and try it! 😀
Cute cafe, open limited hours in downtown Anoka. I had a great BLT sandwich with a friend and service was very good. Could use a little updating & the BLT was toasted a little dark & top crunchy for me, but everything was fresh and tasted great otherwise. Nice server.
Real nice small cafe great waitresses and food was good and came fast
Breakfast is awesome! I love going on the weekends to get the biscuits and gravy! They are cheddar galric buscuits with homemade gravy. Delish! It is a popular spot in Anoka for brunch so dont be discouraged if you have to wait to be seated. Its worth the wait.
Warm, freindly, excellent pricing, friendly informed staff and really great food. Have eaten at "G's" many times and they have always been consistently great.
This is such a nice place. It's a little small, but the food and the staff are worth the tight quarters. There are times that you have to wait, but the staff does their best to help everyone, and they are always friendly. I'm definitely a regular.
Great place for breakfast! Never been disappointed in the 20+ years I've dined here 😊
Love the decor of old Anoka and Irish. Cozy small place, real home cooked food, great portions, friendly staff.
Great food, friendly staff
Nice little breakfast and lunch cafe on Main St, Anoka. Excellent service!
Lived this place.Been there for over 30 years.Great food, good portions, great ppl.
Great burgers and this is how I know: even the well done burgers are juicy. The fries are a little heavy on the seasoning but that is ok. The staff ate friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Definitely try this establishment if you are looking fora great burger.
Love this place. Have been going here for years. Good food and good service. Friendly staff that know your names. Historic building that retains the small town charm. Not a large place, small, may have a wait. Read the newspaper that is usually on the shelf by the door while you wait or grab a tidbits paper from the rack in the hallway. Everything, including desserts are made in the restaurant. Daily specials, for both breakfast and lunch, only open til 2 pm. Worth the wait. On street parking, there is a lot next door shared by area businesses. There are the city parking garages within walking distance. Handicap accessible. Please support your local businesses, you will not be disappointed.
Excellent food! Only negative is the seating is tight. But food and service make up for that!
Wonderful food! Great waitress! Very clean! Will go there again soon.
Had the Irish Skillet. My daughter had the pancakes and hashbrown. Solid breakfast spot.
Wasn't impressed. I wanted to like the place but the food wasn't very good. I ordered the Irish Skillet and there was little to no corned beef hash in it. Mainly onions and green peppers. Service was great so I did still want to give it a couple stars. (Edited to correct what I had ordered)
Wonderful restaurant and breakfast!
I give it five stars because it is the epitome of your small town cafe. Good coffee, friendly service, good portions, reasonable prices, and food that meets or exceeds expectations. Nicer than Papa's or Hudy's, and not as upscale as the remodeled Lily's, but totally satisfying.
Quaint place my parents love for breakfast. My parents are elderly and they're waitresses are so patient, polite and respectful, rare but sorely needed attributes for restaurants. Food was delicious, coffee and water never empty. Very enjoyable.
I have lived in Anoka for 28 years oh what I've been missing! Homemade soup! Yummy burgers! A reuben like a reuben should be, lots of meat and sauerkraut. And the whole sandwich is hot, sauerkraut included. Can't stand cold kraut on a hot sandwich. These guys do it right! I had roasted pork vegetable soup too. Yum. Rich broth with body not a thin broth and little pasta/gnocchi like noodles, so much flavor. Too much food to finish but just took some home. I will be back. I saw more menu items I want to try. Like the malted waffle. Doesn't that sound divine. Why didn't someone tell me about them years ago?
The food is excellent. We normally go on a weekend morning and they always have a creative breakfast creation, like struddle muffin French toast. The staff is friendly and every time we go there it feels like we walked into a cafe from a Hallmark Christmas movie.
My new breakfast spot for sure! Irish skillet was Awesome and top notch service.
Delicious food and wonderful service. My favorite breakfast and lunch spot in the twin cities! Highly recommend!
Love how friendly the staff is and my burger was great ☺
Great homemade corned beef hash! We'll be back to G's
Great breakfast at good price. Service has always been fantastic. It's a small place but food comes out quick. Wish I could eat here more often.
Nice menu choices. Excellent breakfast, friendly service.
Good breakfast, staff, atmosphere.
Right away when we walked in we were greeted with a hello and a smile. We had our drinks within two minutes of sitting down and had ordered our food within five minutes of sitting down. The food and service was great I highly recommend you try this place if you get the chance.
Very quite breakfast place. Food was great. Prices were reasonable.
Came in for a quick bite for breakfast. Wasn't very busy when we came. Nice little diner/cafe with a simple but delicious menu. Got my usual hashbrowns scrambled eggs and bacon. Good simple inexpensive breakfast. Quick friendly service. I'd come back to this place for sure.
Nice little cafe for a lunch or a small gathering.
This is a place where you go and get it simple, and you get it done well. Awesome staff. Awesome, simple menu thats done right. Every time I go there the meal is the same. Perfect. Definitely recommend breakfast if youre in town shopping.
Great food
Food and service were great they've taken all kinds of protective measures highly recommended eating there
Amazing service and amazing food! Thank you so much!
We go for breakfast every time we are in Anoka. This place for breakfast is amazing everything is homemade. Biscuits N Gravy and Corned Beef hash is a must have in my opinion. If your from out of town no need to search just go here you won't be disappointed.
Quaint and really good corned beef hash (home made)
Great food, excellent service and convenient location. I had the corned beef hash with rye bread and my friend had the biscuits and gravy. Someone stopped by whenever we need our coffee topped off. Great place for brunch, just try to get there before the rush. Seating is limited and the line was out the door when we were leaving.
Awesome little place and also decently priced. The server with blue hair was great at her job. A true delight!
Food was okay but the waitresses ignored us for 15 minutes after we were seated. The theme is Irish but they didn’t even have fish and chips.
